SERVING WITH INTEGRITY

The second day of March in the year 2009 proved to be a special day for all monitors and assistant monitors of the morning session of SMK Taman Desa.  This electoral event was the first of its kind for the capable leaders-to-be.

The affair started off with an officiating speech from our respected principal Mr Gan Peng Kheang.  He spoke passionately about the duties of the monitors and stated that without monitors it would be difficult to run the classroom efficiently.  He reminded the monitors to serve well and with integrity and motivated them to be strong and forward thinking.  The certificates were then given out to all the monitors.  The school administrators took turns in giving out the well deserved certificates to the monitors and their assistants. 

The event was then followed up by the Monitor’s Pledge led by the Chairperson of the Council of Monitors, Cheong Yoon Kit of 6AK. Finally, the event ended with a photography session of the Council of Monitors together with their teacher advisor, Miss Liew and the four school administrators.  The motto chosen by the Council of Monitors is “Serving With Integrity.
