Sambutan Hari Kebangsaan Peringkat Sekolah 16 Ogos hingga 16 September 2010
Pada 23 Jun 2010, PBSM tingkatan 6 telah menganjurkan aktiviti derma darah. Aktiviti ini dijalankan dengan kerjasama Tabung Darah Negara. Pada hari itu, sebanyak 50 tabung darah telah berjaya dikumpul hasil derma daripada semua warga sekolah yang mengambil bahagian. Aktiviti ini memberi kesedaran kepada para pelajar untuk membantu memberi sumbangan kepada yang memerlukan. Disediakan oleh : Kennedy Chong
Double Victory at the 14th National SPM Bible Knowledge Quiz

Yeh Rong and Charis Wong of 5Sc1 created history and did SMKTD proud when they emerged Champions at the Kuala Lumpur State Level and National Level SPM Bible Knowledge Oral Quiz organized by MCSC (Majlis Sekolah-sekolah Kristian Malaya). The event was held on the 14th of August 2010 at Catholic High School, Petaling Jaya. A total of 153 teams from public and private schools all over Malaysia participated and only five made it to the finals. For their grit and determination, the duo was presented with the MCSC Challenge Trophy and the Elena Cooke Challenge Trophy. They were also awarded full tuition scholarships to pursue courses at Methodist College Kuala Lumpur in 2011 upon successful completion of their SPM Examination. Yeh Yang of 3 Bayan and Natasha Fernandez of 2 Bayan were also among the top ten scorers in the Forms 3 and 2 BK 10 Quiz respectively.
Special thanks to our Principal, Mr Gan Peng Kheang and to the parents of these students for their unwavering support and love which have helped make every accomplishment possible. To all the winners, KUDOS! Keep SMKTD’s flag flying high!

Majlis Perlantikan Pengawas Sesi Petang

Unit Lembaga Pengawas Sesi Petang telah mengadakan Majlis Perlantikan Pengawas pada 2hb Ogos yang lalu. Penolong Kanan Petang Pn Cheah Kooi Mei telah menyampaikan watikah perlantikan kepada 20 orang pengawas baru sesi 2010/2011. Selepas itu ikrar pengawas telah dilafazkan oleh semua pengawas di bawah bimbingan Ketua Pengawas Sesi Petang yang baru iaitu saudara Yap Jun Hoong dari kelas 1 Camar. Majlis diakhiri dengan satu sesi penggambaran pengawas bersama dengan barisan pentadbir dan guru disiplin sesi petang. Diharapkan pengawas baru yang dilantik akan dapat menjalankan tugas dan amanah yang diberikan dengan penuh tanggungjawab.
Makan ulam pucuk pegaga,
Makan bersama ikan sembilang,
Hormati guru hidup sejahtera,
Pengawas cemerlang SMKTD terbilang.

The annual Co-curricular day held on the 23rd of July started off with a formal assembly at 7.30a.m. After the speech by our Guest of Honour, YDP PIBG Mr Chang Kim Loong, AMN, there were Taekwando, foot drill demonstrations and a band performance by SMKTD’s homegrown musicians! A singing competition was also held for students to showcase their singing talents! The whole school was engulfed in a carnival- like atmosphere. Students were treated to a fun day filled with activities, games and food! The impact of the Co-curricular day actually went beyond just food, fun and games. Most importantly students had the opportunity to garner entrepreneurship skills as well as to interact with one another.
